This is a simple ornament design that's a lot of fun to create. The Hat is knitted flat on two needles and has two different styles - short & pointed or long & floppy. You can have lots of fun knitting different colours & lengths, adding stripes or pompoms. Whatever takes your fancy!
If you have children, these hats will fit little wooden peg dolls for a festive touch. Or knit one in solid grey for a wizard's hat.
Originally worked in 4ply yarn, you could use 8ply or thicker if you wanted to create a bigger hat.
The finished hat measures approx. 4cm from base to tip on the Pointed version. Floppy-tailed version measures approx. 9cm
