Darling Dots Mug Cosy | PDF Knitting Pattern
Please note: This pattern comes in digital form. After the purchase is complete you'll be automatically emailed the PDF file/s to download.
Mug cosies are such a practical but pretty way to keep your tea or coffee warm. So many times I have tea while I’m knitting, but I think “I’ll just finish this pattern repeat and then I’ll have another sip…” – before I know it, my tea has gone cold!
I designed this mug cosy to use up yarn leftovers after knitting the Darling Dots Beanie, and I think it looks so stylish on the mug. The wool keeps your tea (or coffee) beautifully warm, and also shows off the colourwork to its best. This cosy fits a standard-sized mug.
Technique & Skill Level
If you've never knitted stranded colourwork before, this pattern is the perfect place to start.
Worked flat on two needles with a simple colourwork design that's easy to memorise. Instructions are included for working from the colourwork chart.
Needles
Pair 3.25mm needles
Yarn
You can use any 4ply/ fingering weight wool that gives correct tension. If substituting, try to use a raw wool yarn to get the best finish in the colourwork.
Sample uses WOOLganic Merino 4ply in Raindrops & Grapefruit Moon, less than 15g of each.
