'Chook' is an Australian word for chicken, with chicken owners calling out "here chook, chook" to bring the flock to them. Chickens hold a special place in my heart after owning a rather large backyard flock.

Mug cosies are such a practical but pretty way to keep your tea or coffee warm. This is an excellent project to practice your colour work on as it's a quick, satisfying knit. They also make wonderful gifts.! The wool keeps your tea (or coffee) beautifully warm, and also shows off the colourwork to its best. This cosy fits a small to medium sized mug.

I recommend having tried 1 colourwork project before starting this one - try our Darling Dots Mug Cosy if you're new to colourwork, it's a wonderful one to cut your teeth on!
This mug cosy is knitted flat.
The pattern is a combination of written and charted instructions - tips are included for working from a colourwork chart if you've never done so before.
