Noosa Sweater Knitting Club: Full Project Kit + Workshop
If you're ready to knit your first jumper, or you'd like guidance on knitting a top-down jumper in-the-round, the Sweater Knitting Club is perfect for you. If you've knitted a jumper before but would like help with sizing, ease and making changes, the Sweater Club is also perfect for you!
I’m so excited to present another Sweater Knitting Club held at our Noosa Studio. Come together with a group of like-minded makers and be fully supported as you knit a jumper in-the-round, from the top-down.
We’ll be making the beautiful Evendoon by Kate Davies. This jumper has raglan shaping and can be knit in a variety of ways - 6 coloured stripes, 2 coloured stripes or all one colour. You can knit it loose, knit it fitted, cropped or regular length - you'll learn how to do all of this in the workshop!
The Sweater Club gives you:
- The support and guidance to knit a sweater, in-the-round from the top down.
- You'll be guided on techniques, learn how to choose a size (including choosing ease), learn how to knit a jumper that fits you exactly how you want it to and more.
- The support and motivation of a community of like-minded makers.
- Initial Sweater Club 2-Part Workshop is included with your Kit.
- At Workshop 1 you will learn: The important starting steps - swatching, gauge, taking measurements and choosing a size
- At Workshop 2 you will learn: Checking your gauge swatch (that you knitted during the previous workshop) and then casting on and starting your top-down jumper
- Followed by access to our Sweater Club member meet-ups ($25ea, including pattern support). These sessions will run over Autumn while we knit our jumpers. These can be booked as-you-go, there is no need to commit to the entire schedule after the initial workshops.
- Owner Sarah will be on hand at the meet-ups to assist with techniques and the next steps of your jumper - helping you make changes to fit and length if you desire; splitting for sleeves, etc.
- You'll need to purchase the pattern beforehand as a PDF on Ravelry, or purchase it on the day and we can print a copy for you!
Initial Sweater Knitting Workshop Part 1: Thursday, 20th of March 2:30pm ~ 4:30pm
During this workshop, we'll walk through the pattern, knit a gauge swatch, take measurements, discuss ease and choose a size
Initial Sweater Knitting Workshop Part-2: Thursday, 27th of March 2:30pm ~ 4:30pm
During this workshop, we'll check your gauge swatch and make any adjustments to size that are needed and cast on!
Followed by regular member meet-ups on Thursday afternoons - $25 per session, includes knitting, technical and fit adjustment support. We will keep running these meet-ups over Autumn, whilst you knit your jumper. These sessions can be booked as-you-go, you don't need to be able to commit to every session.
