This little owl is a true delight to create. He fits neatly in the palm of your hand and is enhanced with fabric wings and a coordinating tummy patch. You can stitch the wings down on the owl or leave them loose as shown in the photo – both look equally good! This owl is suitable as a toy for children over the age of 4 years, or as a decorative addition to the nursery or office shelf.
Technique & Skill Level
Intermediate
Techniques used: Basic knitting, Intarsia from a chart, simple shaping.
The body is worked from written instructions, and the head is worked following a chart.
The entire toy is worked flat on two straight needles – instructions of stitching the seams neatly and finishing your Little Picnic Owl off professionally are included, along with the printable template for the wings and tummy patch.
