These cosy socks evoke thoughts of snuggling up with a hot cup of tea and a good book on a weekend. Named Friday Fair Isle Socks as the weekend is always when I seemed to pick them up, this is a relaxing pattern that is interesting enough to keep you engaged but simple enough to knit wherever and whenever.
You’ll have these socks off those needles and onto your feet in no time.

This is the ideal pattern for colour play. Easily change the look by using a different colour combination, or use the colours in the samples for socks just like the pattern. Also ideal for stash busting!

These socks are worked from the cuff-down.

Magic Looping
The pattern is written for knitting socks using the Magic Loop method. If you prefer you can change to knitting in-the-round on a smaller needle or using DPNs, you will just have to use stitch markers in some parts where the pattern refers to “Needle 1” & “Needle 2”.

Heel
These socks feature a Short Row Heel

Colour Work
The colour work on these socks is very simple. Instructions are also provided for working from the chart if you are unfamiliar with colourwork charts.
An additional blank chart is also included for you to print and colour your own chart to match the yarn you are using.

Yarn
The sample uses Onion Nettle Sock.

To make a pair as pictured you will need 1 ball each of Cream, Heather, Dusty Pink & Mustard. Or for sample B you’ll need Cream, Denim, Icicle & Rustic Red.

Or 1 ball each of your preferred colours.
