Nettle Sock yarn has been designed for making socks. With the nettle fibre taking the place of nylon, this is a soft but durable fingering weight yarn.
As with any sock yarn, however, it doesn't have to be used just for socks. Pictured above is an in-progress shawl in Cream & Raspberry sock yarn. Knitted on 4mm needles to give an airy fabric, the Nettle Sock Yarn is working up into a deliciously bouncy, airy fabric that is going to result in a beautiful finished shawl.
