Magical Mushrooms Mug Cosy | PDF Knitting Pattern

Please note: This pattern comes in digital form. After the purchase is complete you'll be automatically emailed the PDF file/s to download.

Mug cosies are such a practical but pretty way to keep your tea or coffee warm. So many times I have tea while I’m knitting, but I think “I’ll just finish this pattern repeat and then I’ll have another sip…” – before I know it, my tea has gone cold!

Five Magical Mushrooms around this mug cosy will bring a smile to your face each time you see them and are a quick and fun intarsia design to work. They also make wonderful gifts! The wool keeps your tea (or coffee) beautifully warm, and also shows off the colourwork to its best. This cosy fits a standard-sized mug.

This mug cosy is knitted flat. The pattern is a combination of written and charted instructions - tips are included for working from a colourwork chart if you've never done so before.
Stitches used are knit & purl.

3.75mm pair straight needles

3.75mm pair double-pointed needles, for i-cord

You'll need small amounts of DK weight yarn in 3 colours. Wool or Alpaca yarn is best for colourwork as the fibres mesh together, creating a better finish than when knitted in cotton yarns.
