Learn to knit with our fun 3-part beginner's knitting class! During this course, you'll discover how fun knitting is and learn all of the basics you need.
Over 3 classes you'll learn all of the essential knitting basics whilst you knit a cosy pair of hand warmers. Our classes are relaxed and fun, you will have heaps of time to ask questions and have lots of help. At the end of the course, you'll have the confidence to choose and knit your next beginner-friendly project.
This class is suitable for children aged 10+ and adults. No prior experience is necessary.
What you'll learn:
All of the basics! How to:
- Cast on
- Knit
- Purl
- Work garter stitch, stocking stitch and ribbing
- Read a pattern
- Change colours
- Cast Off
- Sew a neat seam
You'll also learn about yarn ply and what size needles to choose for your yarn.
Everything you need to get started on your knitting journey is included. Soft organic wool, knitting needles & pattern plus 3 x 2 hour classes (6 hours total).
