The Bookish Knitter's Society is back! In this unique knitting club, we've combined all of the best bits of a knit-along, book club and yarn club to bring you the cosiest knit-along ever.

If you love good books, beautiful yarns and delicious tea then don't miss Volume 4 of the Bookish Knitter's Society. There is a place for everyone in this Society - choose which option suits you best! You can browse all options here.

Volume 4 is full of cosy texture. We'll be knitting Interwreathe, a new pattern exclusive to the Society whilst we read The Last Bookshop by Australian author Emma Young.

About the Project

Interwreathe: To intertwine, to wreath together.

When the days are cold and you need added warmth and cosiness, Interwreathe is the perfect accessory.
Interwreathe is easy to wear - perfect if you struggle with styling shawls but want something more than a cowl.

An easy stitch repeat of knits and purls creates a textured pattern that undulates and intertwines together, mimicking woven textures.

The detail of the false-button closure (there are no buttonholes!) makes Interwreathe very easy to wear and simple to knit.

The Digital Option includes both versions of the pattern: Interwreathe (14ply) & Interwreathe Light (8ply).

About the Book

This time we're changing style to enjoy a 'book for booklovers' by Australian author Emma Young. The Last Bookshop is set in Perth, Australia and is a light, enjoyable read (with more depth than I initially expected).
A copy of the book isn't included - this allows you to grab a copy from your library or favourite bookstore. Shopping online from Australia or New Zealand? I recommend Booktopia.

As the name suggests, this option is completely digital.

On the 8th of May, you'll receive PDF copies of Interwreathe & Interwreathe Light patterns along with a PDF Welcome Booklet to the Society. This option also includes your entry into the Bookish Knitter's Society Volume 4.

Suitable for confident beginners +
Interwreathe combines knits and purls in a simple pattern repeat, with a neat i-cord edging that is knit as you go.

Knit flat (back and forth); there is a small seam to sew at the end.

Interwreathe & Interwreathe Light both measure approx. 85cm/33.5" long and 33cm/13" wide.

Both versions of Interwreathe are included with this option.
Recommended needle size for Interwreathe (14ply): 7mm.
Recommended needle size for Interwreathe Light (8ply/DK): 4.50mm.

Worked flat, but I recommend using a circular needle for optimum comfort (circulars take the weight off your hands as the project grows).

Volume 4 officially kicks off on the 26th of May. This is the day we'll all cast on and start reading the first chapter. Like all of our knit-alongs, we're keeping it relaxed with a long timeline.
We'll finish by the 21st of July, after which the knit-along prize will be drawn.

Make sure you join the Facebook group so you can chat with other Society members - there we'll be discussing what chapter we're up to, sharing live videos and posting about our knitting progress.
